On July 8, 2020, KEC's 82nd Annual Meeting was held at the KEC office and streamed live on Facebook. The 20-minute video includes an update on the state of the cooperative, our COVID-19 response and election results. A Facebook account is not required to view the meeting.
Election Results
Board of director districts 3 and 4 are up for election in 2020. In districts 3 and 4 we have one candidate per district. Per KEC’s Bylaws if there is only one candidate per district seeking election, then the candidate is elected by acclamation at the Annual Meeting. Because two of our candidates are running for positions on the board unopposed, and because both candidates are considered qualified by the nominating committee, Hoffman and Dave Bobbitt are now directors on the KEC board of directors, serving districts 3 and 4, respectively.
In early June members were mailed an election packet and ballot to vote by mail or online. KEC’s board of directors recommended the ratification of three proposed amendments to KEC’s bylaws. Each proposal was adopted by the membership.
Election Prizes
Members who cast their votes online and had a KEC SmartHub account were entered into a drawing for a $300 prize. Congratulations to Douglas B. of Hauser for winning this prize. Three other members who voted by mail or online without a SmartHub account were selected for $100 prizes. Congratulations to the following: Michael C. of Post Falls, Olivia A. of Post Falls and Robert S. of Coeur d’Alene.
